W ARN I N G: Always t ur n off the lum inom eter before rem oving the
prot ectiv e pocket .
The lum inom eter is designed wit h a special protect ive pocket, which
can be rem oved for cleaning or replacem ent if required. To rem ove
the protect iv e pocket , open the lum inom eter’s lid, tight ly grasp t he
finger gr ip of the pock et , gently pull the pocket upw ards, and rem ov e
it from the lum inom eter .
CAUTI ON : Great care should be t ak en when r em oving the pocket
not to dam age it or the sur rounding casewor k. Do not use excessive
force. Never use a tool to pry out t he pocket.
Carefully clean the int erior of the pocket using wat er or a very m ild
det ergent solution, ensuring that t he pocket is com pletely dry and
clean before put t ing it back int o t he lum inom et er.
W ARN I N G: Do not use solvents or ot her st rong chem icals as
these will degrade the clear opt ical sect ion of t he pocket and affect
the perform ance of t he lum inom eter .
To replace the pocket , carefully inser t it int o t he lum inom et er ,
ensur ing that it is correctly orient at ed, and then push it fully dow n
unt il it click s int o position.
W ARN I N G: Do not use excessiv e force w hen replacing t he pocket.
I f t he pocket j am s dur ing insert ion, rem ove it fully , check for
obst ruct ions or dam age, and t hen t r y again.
