Attach the work clamp to the workpiece
The work clamp must be connected to the workpiece while you are cutting. If you are using the
Powermax65 or Powermax85 with a cutting table, you can connect the work lead directly to
the table instead of attaching the work clamp to the workpiece. See your table manufacturer’s
instructions.
Note the following:
Ensure that the work clamp and the workpiece make good metal-to-metal contact.
Remove rust, dirt, paint, coatings, and other debris to ensure the power supply makes
proper contact with the workpiece.
For the best cut quality, attach the work clamp as close as possible to the area being cut.
Do not attach the work clamp to the portion of the workpiece to be cut away.
