Programmable Workstation Local Attachment for Macintosh**
The console
is
the following:
- Macintosh computer running the SNA•ps** 5250 Version 1.2 application that uses the LocalTalk**
protocol
Go to "Macintosh Workstation as the System Console" on page 3-4.
Twinaxial
Nonprogrammable
Workstation

the
System
Console
If
you
have a twinaxial workstation as the system console, perform the following steps:
1 Prepare the twinaxial workstation using the device information.
Notes:
a.
Be sure the workstation address is set to zero (0).
b.
Verify that the cable is labeled at both ends.
2 Ensure that the workstation power cord is not plugged in the ac outlet.
3 Ensure that the twinaxial workstation cable is connected at the workstation.
4 Install the system-unit end of the twinaxial attachment cable to the twinaxial workstation connector
on
the back of the
9401
System Unit.

5 Connect the twinaxial attachment cable to the twinaxial cable that is connected to the workstation.
Note: If the twinaxial attachment cable has two ports available, connect the twinaxial workstation
cable to port 0.
