This section contains instructions
on
how to perform the following tests:
Connection/Registration test
Operating System Preventive Service Planning (PSP) test
Licensed Internal Code Preventive Service Planning (PSP) test
Ensure that
you
have entered the remote service information (see "Enter the Electronic Customer Support
Information"
on
page 7-1) before performing this procedure.
1 From the Send Test Request display, press the Enter key to send a test request to the I
BM
service
support system.
Messages showing the status of the request are shown at the bottom of the display.
Press the Enter key to continue.
2 If the test does not complete successfully, the AS/400 Main Menu appears with an error message.
If the test completes successfully, the Prepare PSP Request display appears (PSP means Preven-
tive Service Planning) with the following message:
Test request complete.
3 Did the test complete successfully?
Yes
No
Note the error message and contact your service representative.
This ends the procedure.
4 To perform the operating system Preventive Service Planning (PSP) test, press the Enter key.
