Personal Computer as the Client Access/400 System Console
This section provides instructions
on
how to attach a Client Access/400 Console workstation to the
9401
System Unit
as
the system console. The Client Access/400 Console workstation
is
a personal computer
that uses the Personal Computer 5250 (PC5250) or RUMBA/400 application to emulate a locally attached
5250 workstation. There is no workstation attachment connector available. The personal computer
attaches to the adapter card in position
B.

and a twinaxial or ASCII workstation

If you have a personal computer that
is
set up
as
the Client Access/400 system console, perform the
following steps:
1 Ensure that the personal computer power cord
is
not plugged
in
the ac outlet.
2 Install the system end of the
PC
attachment cable to the adapter card in position B of the
9401
System Unit.
