Procedure
Use
the following procedure to install the IBM 3450 Model
001
or IBM 7202 Model 012 tape unit, or
feature 6365 to the
9401
System Unit.
1 Place the tape unit where
you
plan to install
it.
2 Set the tape unit address switch on the back of the tape unit to zero (0). See the device informa-
tion for instructions
on
how to set the address.
3 Find the SCSI external tape unit cable.
4 Connect the tape unit end D of the SCSI external tape unit cable to the back of the tape unit.
Note:
If
you are installing feature 6365, there are two SCSI connectors
on
the back of the tape
unit. You can install the cable
in
either connector.
