Perform
an
Initial Program Load
Use the procedures
in
this chapter to perform an IPL on the 9401 System Unit. Ensure that you have
completed the procedures
in
Chapter
5,
"Install Additional Devices" on page 5-1.
1 Open the front cover of the 9401 System Unit (see Figure 2-2 on page 2-4).

! Go to step 5 of this procedure.
2 Select the IPL type and mode from the control panel of the 9401 System Unit.

Yes

Use Function 02 to select the IPL type and mode.
Return to step 2 of this procedure.
5 Are you using a nonprogrammable workstation as the system console?
No
Yes
! Ensure that the workstation is powered on.
Go to step 8 of this procedure.
