Daylight Savings Time
This section describes the function that automatically adjusts the SmartAXIS time according to daylight savings time settings.
For regions where the SmartAXIS is used that implement daylight savings time, this function can automatically adjust the
SmartAXIS clock using the daylight savings time settings. When the time reaches the daylight savings start time, the clock is set an
hour forward. When the time reaches the the daylight savings time end, the clock is set an hour back.
The SmartAXIS adjusts the clock for daylight savings time on the start day and the end day. However, the clock is also adjusted for
daylight savings time under the following conditions.
• When a user program was downloaded to the SmartAXIS.
• When the SmartAXIS power was turned on.
When the current time of the SmartAXIS' internal clock is set using WindLDR or the operator interface, the time is not adjusted for
daylight savings time, even if the time after it was set is within the daylight savings time period. Set the time to the time adjusted
for daylight savings time. The set date and time becomes the date and time after being adjusted for daylight savings time.
Programming WindLDR
Configure daylight savings time on the SmartAXIS.
1. From the WindLDR menu bar, select Configuration > Calendar & Clock.
The Function Area Settings dialog box is displayed.
2. Select the Enable daylight savings time check box.
3. Configure the start time and the end time. Specify the region using the Region list box.
If you select Custom, you are able to select any desired start time and end time.
4. Click OK.
This concludes configuring the settings.
