8.4 Common Faults and Troubleshooting
Table 8-1 Common faults and troubleshooting
No. Fault Symptom Possible Causes Solution
1
There is no display at
power-on.
There is no power supply to the AC drive or the
power input to the AC drive is too low.
The switching mode power supply on the drive
board of the AC drive is faulty.
The rectier bridge is damaged.
The snubber resistor of the AC drive is damaged.
The control board or the operation panel is faulty.
The cable connecting the control board and the
drive board and the operation panel breaks.
Check the power supply.
Check the bus voltage.
Re-plug the 8-core and 28-core
cables.
Contact Inovance.
2
"CrAnE" is displayed
continuously for a long
time.
The cable between the drive board and the control
board is in poor contact.
Related components on the control board are
damaged.
The motor or the motor cable is short circuited to
the ground.
The hall is faulty.
The power input to the AC drive is too low.
Re-plug the 8-core and 28-core
cables.
Contact Inovance.
3
"Er123" is displayed at
power-on.
The motor or the motor output cable is short
circuited to the ground.
The AC drive is damaged.
Check insulation of the motor
and the output cable with a
megger.
Contact Inovance.
4
The display is normal at
power-on. But "CrAnE"
is displayed after running
and the AC drive stops
immediately.
The cooling fan is damaged or locked-rotor occurs.
Short-circuit occurs on the external control
terminals.
Replace the damaged fan.
Eliminate the external short
circuit fault.
5
Err114 (Module overheat)
is reported frequently.
The setting of carrier frequency is too high.
The cooling fan is damaged, or the air lter is
blocked.
Components inside the AC drive are damaged
(thermal coupler or others).
Reduce the carrier frequency.
Replace the fan and clean the
air lter.
Contact Inovance.
6
The motor does not rotate
after the AC drive runs.
Check the motor and motor cables.
The AC drive parameters are wrongly set (motor
parameters).
The cable between the drive board and the control
board is in poor contact.
The drive board is faulty.
Re-conrm the cabling between
the AC drive and the motor.
Replace the motor or clear
mechanical faults.
Check and re-set the motor
parameters.
