CDC4 Door Controller Installation and Programming Manual 83
Output modules number
Enter a value in the range 1 to 8 in order to use clocked output expansion
boards. Alternatively, enter 0 (disabled) to use an ATS1810 four-way relay card,
or for no output expansion.
Use a value that represents groups of eight clocked outputs or open collectors.
For example:
Enter a value of 1 if one ATS1811 eight-way relay card is used.
Enter a value of 2 if one ATS1820 16-way open collector card is used.
Enter a value of 4 if four ATS1811 eight-way relay cards are used.
Tamper monitoring
If the Advisor Advanced panel monitors input circuits for tamper conditions, then
CDC4 must do the same.
When enabled, the system can detect inactive, active, and fault (open and short
circuit) states. When disabled, the system can detect inactive and active states
only. Open and short circuit states are detected as active.
Siren monitoring
The use of a siren on a controller is optional and siren monitoring is disabled by
default. The siren circuit is not monitored for fault conditions unless siren
monitoring is enabled.
EOL resistor
The EOL (End-Of-Line) resistor is used to detect the electrical states of input
circuits. This read-only field shows the actual resistor value.
The EOL resistor value is set in the “Expander tabon page 82. Note that this
value applies to all assigned DGPs.
Siren mode
The on-board siren output can be configured for use with a standard siren, or for
use with an integrated siren/strobe unit that requires a 12 V DC supply.
Alternatively, the 12 V DC output can be used for a device that requires 12 V DC
power when the CDC4 siren output is active.
Duress mode
Duress mode allows a user to signal a duress condition (for example, a holdup)
by entering a special duress code on a keypad RAS instead of their usual door
code.
The system will behave as if the user PIN was entered (for example, to open a
door), and it will initiate a duress alarm. The duress alarm can be reset
(cancelled) by entering the normal PIN.
