Input location
If the Input type field is one of Shunted pass through or Direct pass through, then
an input device must be specified in the Input field, using the scheme described
in the “Flexible device locations” section on page 63.
Mapped outputs tab
See the “Input and output mapping” section on page 66 for information on input
and output mapping.
The Output mapping shows a list of output mappings.
Click the Browse “...” button to open the Mapped output dialog to edit the
selected output mapping.
On the Mapped output dialog, click the Remove button to remove the selected
output data.
The mapped output number is an index into the Advisor Advanced output
numbering scheme. Thus, for CDC4 with address 1 on the Advisor Advanced
panel data bus 1, mapped output numbers 1 to 16 correspond to Advisor
Advanced output numbers 17 to 32. See the “Input and output mapping” section
on page 66 for information on output mapping.
Activating the Advisor Advanced output will activate the specified output device
attached to the CDC4.
Note: Outputs that are not mapped to a device may be used as an input to a
macro.
Output type
Specify the output type for the output mapping. The output types are:
• Disabled: The output is disabled.
• Direct map: The output is directly mapped from the Advisor Advanced to the
output specified in the Output field.
Output location
The output location must be specified using the scheme described in the
“Flexible device locations” section on page 63.
Programming mapped inputs and outputs
On the attached Advisor Advanced, program the mapped inputs and outputs as
required.
