CAUTION!
A shielded communication cable is required in order to comply with the
FCC/DOC approval and to avoid the risk of interference
to radio communications.
All EasyCoder 501 printers are fi tted with a DB-25pin male inter-
face connector on their rear plates (communication port "uart1:").
This connector can be used for an RS-232, an RS-422, or a 20
mA current loop interface depending on how the CPU board is
strapped. In the latter two cases, additional circuits must be fi tted.
The confi guration of the connection cable is also important.
