Chapter 9 Liner/Batch Takeup Kit
9.2 Main Parts
The stepper motor is fi tted to the printer’s center section using a
motor support plate. It drives the takeup unit and the liner drive
roller in the print unit via two belts. The tension of these belts can
be slightly adjusted by moving the stepper motor and/or support
plate before the screws are tightened.
The takeup unit is fi tted with a brace, that holds the liner or media.
The unit is fi tted to the printer’s center section using two #T20 Torx
screws that can be accessed through holes in the CPU board.
A break shaft in front of the rewind unit guides the liner or media
under the slack absorber.
The stepper motor is connected to P-400 on the CPU board.
