Board Troubles
26.16 Industrial Inter-
face Board Troubles
• First, see “No communication (general)”, Chapter 26.2.
• Check that the cable to connector P-4 on the CPU board to is
properly mounted.
• Check that straps S-1, and S-2/S-3 are fi tted correctly, see
Chapter 22.2.
• If the printer has to supply +5V to "centronics:", check that a
jumper is fi tted on P-2.
• The Centronics interface requires no setup. It is however essen-
tial that the current program of the printer should enable the
Centronics interface as standard I/O channel by means of a
SETSTDIO statement, see Intermec Fingerprint v6.14, Refer-
ence Manual.
• Check that the supply voltage +5V is present.
• Verify, by means of an oscilloscope, that all signals during
receiving and transmitting data have the appearance described
in Chapter 22.
• First, see “No communication (general)”, Chapter 26.2.
• Check that the straps on P-2 and P-6 to P-8 are fi tted so the
relation between relay position and Out signal is correct for the
application.
• Check that the cable to connector P-4 on the CPU board is prop-
erly mounted.
• If external +5V is required on "uart3:", check that a jumper is
fi tted on P-1.
• Check that the supply voltage +5V is present.
• Verify, by means of an oscilloscope, that all signals during
receiving and transmitting data have the appearance described
in Chapter 23. Verify also that oscillator Y-1 on the Industrial
Interface Board is running.
