Chapter 26 Troubleshooting

First, see No communication (general), Chapter 26.2.
Check that the cable to connector P-4 on the CPU board to is
properly mounted.
Check that straps S-1, and S-2/S-3 are tted correctly, see
Chapter 22.2.
If the printer has to supply +5V to "centronics:", check that a
jumper is tted on P-2.
The Centronics interface requires no setup. It is however essen-
tial that the current program of the printer should enable the
Centronics interface as standard I/O channel by means of a
SETSTDIO statement, see Intermec Fingerprint v6.14, Refer-
ence Manual.
Check that the supply voltage +5V is present.
Verify, by means of an oscilloscope, that all signals during
receiving and transmitting data have the appearance described
in Chapter 22.
First, see No communication (general), Chapter 26.2.
Check that the straps on P-2 and P-6 to P-8 are tted so the
relation between relay position and Out signal is correct for the
application.
Check that the cable to connector P-4 on the CPU board is prop-
erly mounted.
If external +5V is required on "uart3:", check that a jumper is
tted on P-1.
Check that the supply voltage +5V is present.
Verify, by means of an oscilloscope, that all signals during
receiving and transmitting data have the appearance described
in Chapter 23. Verify also that oscillator Y-1 on the Industrial
Interface Board is running.
