Chapter 3 Hatches and Doors
The left-hand cover gives access to:
The electronics incl. CPU board, power connection, power
supply, and optional interface pcb.
The motors, belts, and pulleys of the media feed, ribbon
feed, and the optional liner/batch takeup unit and ribbon save
device.
The circuit boards and cable of the optional memory card
adapter.
The left-hand cover plate is tted to the printer's frame by means
of a total of eight #T10 Torx screws; four along the lower edge and
another four along the top.
WARNING!
The electronic compartment contains wires and components
with dangerous voltage (115/230 VAC). Switch off the printer
and disconnect the power cord, before removing the left-hand
cover.
After having disconnected the power cord, open the right-hand
door. Using a #T10 Torx screwdriver, remove the four screws
along the lower edge rst, then remove the four upper screws. Put
the cover plate aside on a soft cloth or similar to avoid scratches.
