Chapter 22
The Parallel Interface Board adds one parallel communication
port ("centronics:") to the standard serial communication port
("uart1:").
The Parallel Interface Board may either be bought separately as a
kit complete with installation instructions, or be factory installed.
The following types of interfaces can be selected:
"uart1:" Fitted on printer’s CPU board.
RS-232 Standard.
RS-422 or 20 mA CL Option. Additional circuits required.
"centronics:" Fitted on Parallel interface pcb.
Centronics parallel interface
The setup is in no way affected by the Parallel Interface Board,
since the Centronics interface does neither require any communi-
cation setup nor uses any buffers.
