PRE-DRIVING OPERATIONS AND ADJUSTMENTS
Anti-theft System Alarm Operating Conditions
When the anti-theft system is engaged, the alarm will operate under the following
conditions:
• When someone forcibly attempts to open the door or engine hood without using
the passive entry and start system or keyless entry system.
• When a key or other tool is inserted into the door key cylinder and a door is
unlocked.
• When someone unlocks a door with the door lock knob or power door lock
(central door lock) switch.
• When the engine hood release lever is operated.
• When the key is inserted into the starter switch.
NOTE
• When the engine hood or doors are operated from an open window, or by
someone inside the vehicle, the anti-theft alarm may start operating.
CAUTION
• If a door is not closed completely, the map light or dome light will remain on.
The anti-theft system is not engaged at this time.
• If the indicator light is not functioning, have Isuzu Dealer correct the problem as
soon as possible.
Deactivating the Anti-theft System
When the door is unlocked using the passive entry and start system or keyless entry
system, the anti-theft system will be deactivated.

NOTE
• In models with passive entry and start system, when the electronic key cannot
be used due to its battery being discharged, touch the button with the electronic
key after pushing the engine start/stop button, then push the button and switch
the power mode to "ON" to stop the alarm.
