IN CASE OF EMERGENCY
CAUTION
• The eCall system uses a mobile phone network. Therefore, when your vehicle
is outside the area where the network is available or in an environment where
the radio communication is poor (under a bad weather, inside a tunnel, under
the ground, on a rough terrain, etc.), the system may not operate correctly.
• When no signal is received from the GNSS, the eCall system may not operate
correctly.
• When an extremely strong impact is applied and the eCall system is damaged,
the system may not operate correctly.
• There may be a difference between the vehicle location information sent to the
call center and the actual vehicle location. If possible, inform the operator of the
landmarks around the vehicle location during the voice call.
• The eCall system does not operate correctly outside the temperature range
specified below.
- Operating temperature range: -40°C (-40°F) to 85°C (185°F)
• When the eCall system does not operate correctly, request a rescue without
using the eCall system (using a public phone around the vehicle, etc.).
• In the following cases, the eCall system may not operate correctly. In this case,
request a rescue without using the eCall system (using a public phone around
the vehicle, etc.).
- When the vehicle is outside the mobile phone network area.
- When the vehicle is in an environment where the radio communication is poor
(under a bad weather, inside a tunnel, under the ground, on a rough terrain,
etc.).
- When no signal can be received from the GNSS.
- When an extremely strong impact is applied and the eCall system is
damaged.
