Cleaning the Hook Area
Clean the hook area at least once a month.
Remove the needle plate (refer to page 24).
Turn the power switch off and unplug the machine.
Remove the needle and presser foot.
CAUTION:
Do not dismantle the machine in any way other than
as explained in this section.
Take out the bobbin and bobbin holder.

Bobbin holder
Clean the bobbin holder with a lint brush.
Apply a few drops of the bobbin holder cleaner (included
in the standard accessories) to a soft cloth and wipe the
bobbin holder both inside and outside.

Clean the feed dog and auto thread cutter device with
the lint brush.

Auto thread cutter device
Clean the inside and lip of the hook race with a soft cloth.
Insert the bobbin holder so that the knob ts next to the
stopper in the hook race.
Insert the bobbin.

Attach the needle plate, presser foot and needle.
