Hardware Installation—Installing the
IFC-1010/2020
The function keys on the CRT are labeled with special IFC-1010/2020
commands. These keys function identical to the keys on the DIA. For a
description of these commands, refer to the IFC-1010/2020 Operations
Technical Bulletin (LIT-448100) in this manual.

CRT with Keyboard
One maximum - if using the CRT-2, the keyboard
may be located remotely with any CRT-2 in the
chain. If using the CRT-1, the CRT with keyboard
must be first in the chain and must be in the
same room as the IFC-1010/2020.

Notes: Outputs are power limited (for device/circuit rating, refer to

Connections must be made with overall foil/braided-shield twisted
pair cable.
Apply power to the CRTs prior to startup of the system, beginning
with the last CRT in the chain.
A total of 25 CRTs may be installed. Only one keyboard (shipped
with each CRT) may be used in the entire system and it may be
installed with any CRT in a chain. For all applications except
NFPA 72 Proprietary Protected Premises Receiving Units, the
keyboard is used only to program the control panel and must be
removed or kept in a locked enclosure after programming the
system.
