The Audio/Visual Power Supply provides up to 3 amperes of unfiltered,
unregulated special purpose notification appliance power.
With the circuit breaker at the main AC distribution panel turned off,
connect the primary power input of the AVPS-24 or AVPS-24E in parallel
with the primary power input of the main power supply. This connection
must be made with 12 AWG wire. Supervision of the audio/visual supply
is accomplished by connecting the trouble cable (Part Number 71033)
from P5 on the CPU-2020 or CPU-2 to P1 on the AVPS-24 or AVPS-24E.
If more than one AVPS-24 or AVPS-24E is to be used, connect the
supplied cables (Part Number 71033) as illustrated in Figure 41.
Refer to the Device Compatibility Technical Bulletin (LIT-445180) for
Underwriters Laboratories (UL) Listed notification appliances that are
compatible with the AVPS-24 or AVPS-24E Audio/Visual Power Supply.
!
WARNING: Use only the devices listed in the Device
Compatibility Technical Bulletin (LIT-445180).
!
WARNING: Be sure that the input voltage specified for the
main power supply (MPS-24A or MPS-24AE)
matches the required input voltage for the
AVPS-24 or AVPS-24E selected, i.e., both
supplies must be 120 VAC input or both supplies
must be 220/240 VAC input.
