<Belt tension adjustment procedure>
Pull the θ motor to the operator’s side, and adjust the tension of the timing belt to the following
adjustment value.
Tension meter input value
• Weight: 0.9 g/m
• Width: 6.0 mm
• Span: Implemented in a measurable span of the figure below
• Proper tension: 16.6 ± 1 N (17.6 N or less) with a high value
∗ When fixing the set screw of the T pulley and the T pulley flange, align the position of the flat
part of the θ motor shaft with the set screw of the pulley. Also, please adjust the clearance
between the protrusion (φ 20) of the motor shaft root and the T pulley flange to 0.3 mm.
Tighten the setscrew with a torque of 0.5 N・m.
∗ The lot number (print) of the timing belt T will be on the front. Assemble the mark on the motor
shaft to the position (180 ° opposite side) of the figure.
∗ Apply Loctite 243 to the θ-motor mounting screws (4 pcs.) and tighten them with a tightening
torque of 2.3 N・m.
