Replacement and Adjustment of Belts
6-1. Replacement and adjustment of X-axis belt (TR6SNR/TR6SNX)
Detach the XF cover and the X cover, and replace the belt.
Loosen the mounting screw of motor BR , and remove the idlers BR (at three spots).
Remove the belt BR , and replace the belt (fastening torque: 29.4 Ncm, screw lock: Loctite
277)
When the belt replacement is finished, move the carriage left and right and confirm that the belt
will not run in a zigzagging way.
If the belt begins to run like a snake, the cause may be that the pulley and idler roller are
positioned not vertical, and therefore, make adjustment by moving the idler BR .
Then execute belt tension adjustment.
After moving the carriage to the left end, rotate the motor BR in the arrow direction, and make
adjustment so that the following value will be achieved.
P = 0.98N (100g), deflection = 9 mm
If an acoustic belt tension meter is used:
Unit weight: 0.00127 N/cm
2
Belt width: 6 mm
Span length: 632 mm
Belt tension: 15.78N (1.61 kgf)
X belt 6S (part No.: E2028723000)
(316mm)
