Upgrade the Firmware on an AP Manually | 42
You can upgrade the rmware on an access point (AP) either manually or automacally. With the
automac upgrade method, you can only upgrade the rmware, whereas you can use the manual
process to upgrade or downgrade the rmware. This topic covers the manual upgrade process that you
can use to upgrade the AP rmware. For informaon about the automac upgrade process, see Enable
Automac Firmware Upgrades.
Check for AP Firmware Updates
You can check for current rmware versions supported on AP models, features supported in a rmware
version, and resolved issues. To view details about AP rmware:
1. Log in to the Mist portal using your credenals.
2. Click the ? (queson-mark) icon in the top-right corner.
A drop-down menu appears.
3. Select Firmware Updates from the drop-down menu to see the currently supported rmware version
for your AP.
