Optimized hardware improves real-time capabilities and
reduces overhead issues.
Doubling the size of the solid-state, hard disk, providing
more storage for scans and reducing the need to offload
files as frequently.
We’ve replaced the mini-HDMI port with full-HDMI for a
more robust connection. This eliminates connector strain
and adds another integrated video option.
Updated security features add functionality to keep Stencil
2 current with Kaarta Contour
®

Stencil 2 now reads and writes the file headers, so data is
not lost when running loop closure or sharpening tools.
The updated file format lets you record confidence
estimates and prevents CloudCompare from corrupting
time values.
The latest version of CloudCompare has many new
features and fixes. The updater uses a .snap package for
easy deployment and updates.
Built-in record and playback allow reprocessing scans
using different parameters to resolve any issues with the
point clouds.
Generates full-size
data sets from
past scans
Set a parameter to generate a preview map of a specific
size. Stencil 2 stores the raw binary file to generate non-
subsampled point clouds post field work.
