Using ILS Marker Beacon Softkeys
Example of Setting All ILS Marker Beacon Parameters
1. Press Preset to place the signal generator in a known preset state.
2. Set the ILS Marker Beacon mode to inner, middle, or outer mode.
a. Press Aux Fctn > Avionics > Marker Beacon
b. Press Marker Beacon
(Default selection is Off.)
c. Select either: Inner | Middle | Outer
3. Set the ILS Marker Beacon carrier frequency.
a. Press Carrier Freq Index
(Default <value> is 17 and corresponds to 75.000 MHz.)
b. (Optional) Select a <value> from 1 to 33 and press Enter to change
to a different carrier frequency.
4. Set the ILS Marker Beacon AM depth.
a. Press Marker Depth
(Default <value> is 95%.)
b. (Optional) Select a <value> from 0 to 99.9% and press Enter.
5. (Optional, if Inner was selected in step 2 above.)
Set the ILS Marker Beacon inner marker frequency.
a. Press Marker Beacon
b. Press Inner
c. Press Marker Freq
(Default <value> is 3000 Hz.)
d. (Optional) Select a <value> from 0 Hz to 10 MHz.
6. (Optional, if Middle was selected in step 2 above.)
Set the ILS Marker Beacon middle marker frequency.
a. Press Marker Beacon
b. Press Middle
c. Press Marker Freq
(Default <value> is 1300 Hz.)
d. (Optional) Select a <value> from 0 Hz to 10 MHz.
7. (Optional, if Outer was selected in step 2 above.)
Set the ILS Marker Beacon outer marker frequency.
a. Press Marker Beacon
b. Press Outer
(Default <value> is 400 Hz.)
