1Sendanacousticcommandtothetranspondertoreleaseitfromtheweight,for
transponderswithareleaseandaoatingcollar.
2Grabholdoftheropeattachedtotheoatingcollarandpullthetransponder
towardsyou.
3Avoidslammingthetransponderagainstsolidobjectsasitisliftedoutofthewater.
4Checkthetransponder’stemperature
Ifthetransducerisoverheatedgodirectlytotheemergencyprocedures.
5Checkthepressurereliefvalvetoseeifanychemicalreactionhasincreasedthe
pressureinthetranspondertosetitoff.
6Controlthetransponderforminimumtwohours.
Checkfordamagesthatcouldinvolveawaterleakage
andcheckthehousingtemperatureforapossible
temperatureincreaseinthelithiumbattery.
