Youmustneverstandinfrontof,oratthebackoftheunit,whenyouopenit.
Openthetransponderinasafeplaceoutonthedeck,shieldedfrompeopleand
vitalequipment.
UseafullfacemaskwithminimumBE-lter,andprotectiveequipmentmadeof
rubberorplastic.
Thetranspondermustbecleanedanddriedbeforeopening,sothatnodirtorwaterseeps
intotheunitwhenitisopened.
Procedure
1Pulloutthelockingcordbetweenthetubeandeitherthetopendcap,thetransducer
orthetopsectionmodule.
Ifthelockingcordishardtoremove,carefullyopentheventscrew.Pressuremay
havebuiltupinsidethetransponder.
2Removethetopsection.
3InspectallO-ringsfordamage.
