Providedthatthebatterypackisdisposedofaccordingtolocalregulationsand/orlaw,it
willnothaveanyenvironmentalimpact.

Disposeofthebatteriesinaccordancewithlocal,stateandfederallawsandregulations
forbatteries.
Alithiumthionylchloridebatterydoesnotcontainanyheavymetals,andisthereforenot
regardedasspecialwaste(containsonlybiodegradableparts).
Ausedtransponderlithiumbatteryoftencontainsasignicantamountofresidual
energy.Itisthedangerofexplosionthatpresentsaproblemwhendisposingabattery.
Usedbatteriesmustthereforebehandledwiththesamecareasnewones.

Forsafedisposal,contactthenearestlocalcompanythathasbeenapprovedtocollect
anddisposeoflithiumbatteries.

TransportationofthecNODEmustbeperformedinaccordancewithrulesand
regulationsstatedfortransportationofdangerousgoodsintheapplicablecountries.
