Connecting a New Device (Pairing)
Whenanewdeviceisconnected,“pairing”(mutuallyreg-
isteringconnectioninformation)mustbeperformed.
Theinformationforuptoeightpaireddevicescanbe
stored.Whenaninthdeviceispaired,theinformation
foranexistingdeviceisdeletedsothatthenewinfor-
mationcanbestored.
Evenifpairingfailed,theinformationforthatdevice
maybestoredontheC1Air.Iftheinformationforeight
deviceshasalreadybeenstored,theinformationforan
existingdeviceisdeleted.
Inordertoreconnecttothedevicewhoseinformation
wasdeleted,deletetheC1Air’sinformationfromthat
device,andthenperformpairingagain.
1. When the C1 Air is turned on, it enters the pairing
standby mode.
Pairingisenabledforonly1minuteafter“120”appears
inthedisplaywhentheC1Airisturnedon.
2. Turn on the Bluetooth function for the device to be
connected to, and then select “KORG C1Air” in the
list of the seings screen that appeared.
When a message appears, requesting permission for
pairing,allowpairing.
Whenapasskeyisrequested,enter“0000”.
TipThepasskeymayalsobecalledaPINcode,pass-
word,etc.
3. If pairing is successful, the connected device enters
a connection-ready mode and displays a connection
with “KORG C1Air”.
Sincethedisplaysdierdependingonthedevice,referto
themanualofyourdevice.
Reconnecting to a paired device
• If the Bluetooth function for the device to be connect-
ed to was turned o when the C1 Air was turned on
TurnontheBluetoothfunctionforthedevicetobecon-
nectedto.
• If the Bluetooth function for the device to be connect-
ed to was turned on when the C1 Air was turned on
TurnotheBluetoothfunctionforthedevicetobecon-
nectedto,andthenturnitonagain,orselect“KORG
C1Air”inthelistofpaireddevices.
Ifaconnectioncannotbeestablishedagain,turnothe
Bluetoothfunctionforthedevice,andthenturniton
again.Ifaconnectionstillcannotbeestablished,cancel
pairingordeletetheinformationfromthedevice,and
thentryperformingtheoperationdescribedabovein
“ConnectingaNewDevice(Pairing)”.
Cutting the Connection
Perform the operation by using the Bluetooth seings
screenontheconnecteddevice.
If theC1Air is turned owhile itis connected toa
device,itmaybedicultfortheconnectiontobere-
establishedthenexttime.

Whensendingis nished,thePlay/Pausebuongoes
dark(notlit),and“ddd”appearsinthedisplay.
Receiving
Whensendingbeginsfromthecomputer,allrecorded
songdataontheC1/C1Airiserased.
Whilesending,thePlay/Pausebuonblinksinred,and
“___”appearsinthedisplay.
Whensendingis nished,thePlay/Pausebuongoes
dark(notlit),and“ddd”appearsinthedisplay.
Tocancelsending/receiving,presstheFUNCTIONbut-
tontoexitMIDIseingmode,orselectadierentMIDI
parameter.However, if receiving is cancelled after it
hasalreadybegun,allrecordedsongdataontheC1/C1
Airwillhavebeenerased.
Recording to the Recorder
WhentherecorderoftheC1/C1Airisinrecordingstandby
mode,recordingcanbestartedwithMIDImessagessent
fromanexternalMIDIkeyboard,etc.
• TheperformanceisrecordedonlywhenLocalOisset.
• WhenPart1isinrecordingorrecordingstandbymode:
Theperformanceis recordedwhen an eventwith the
speciedMIDIchannelandachannelof+1isreceived.
• WhenPart2isinrecordingorrecordingstandbymode:
Theperformanceisrecordedwhenaneventwithchan-
nelsof+2and+3thespeciedMIDIchannelisreceived.
Using as a Bluetooth Speaker (C1 Air only)
Ifacomputer,tablet,smartphone,audioplayer,etc.,com-
patiblewithBluetoothaudioisconnected,theC1Aircan
beusedasaBluetoothspeaker.
Adjustthevolumeontheoutputfromthedeviceconnected
viaBluetoothaudio.ItcannotbeadjustedwiththeVOL-
UMEknobontheC1Air.
