Operating System Update
Introduction
Korg may release updates to the Pa3X’s operating system. Updates can include new features,
improvements, bug fixes, new sounds and/or styles. The most up-to-date version can be
downloaded from our web site (www.korgpa.com).
Note: By loading the new operating system, you also load all the features added by the previous
updates.
Note: Please do not turn the instrument off before the loading operation has been completed!
Note: Loading this file will not modify the User data, but we suggest you create a safety copy of
your data before proceeding.
Loading the Operating System
Download the most up-to-date version of the OS from the “Support” area of our web site
(www.korgpa.com).
Unzip the “Pa3X_OS.zip” archive to extract the “Pa3X_OS.pkg” system file, and copy the
“Pa3X_OS.pkg” system file into the root of an USB storage device. Follow the instructions
available in the included document in PDF format.
Warning: Do not change the name of this file!
Factory Reset
Introduction
The procedure described explains how to restore the original Factory data in the Pa3X’s internal
memory, by loading the “Pa3X_RES.pkg” file from an USB storage device.
This operation is only due in one of the following cases:
• The Pa3X appears ‘frozen’, due to memory corruption or loading of incompatible data.
• You have just installed the HDIK-2 hard disk kit in the 61-key version, and you must reinstall the
original data.
The most up-to-date version of the “Pa3X_RES.pkg” file can be downloaded from our web site
(www.korgpa.com).
Note: Loading this file will delete all data, so please make a safety copy of your data before
proceeding.
Note: Loading this file may take several minutes. Please do not turn the instrument off before the
loading operation has been completed!
