9.4.2 Agitator
An agitator is installed at the bottom of the hopper.
Depending on the type of seeds, the agitator must
be engaged (a) or disengaged (b).
Before adjusting the metering unit opening, you
must adjust the grooves according to the type of
seed.
Large grooves: large seeds (wheat, barley, oats,
peas...)
Small grooves: small seeds (rape, phacelia, clover).
It is recommended to check the calibration chart for
the type of groove to use for your seed type.
When the agitator is engaged (a), gearwheel (1)
must be positioned on gearwheel (2).
Agitator engaged (a): grass, barley, oats, fescue,
maize....

When the agitator is disengaged (b), slide
gearwheel (1) towards the inside of the metering
unit so that it is not longer in contact with
gearwheel (2).
Agitator disengaged (b): wheat, fava beans, peas,
rape....
