2-1-2 Drum section
(1) Drum section
The drum section consists of the drum, the main charger unit, and the cleaning unit, and the drum surface is uniformly
charged in preparation for formation of residual image by laser beam. After transfer is complete, toner remaining on the
drum surface is chipped off with the cleaning blade and is collected to the waste toner box with the drum screw. Also elec-
tric charge remaining on the drum surface is eliminated by irradiating the eraser lamp for preparing for next charge of the
main charger.
