Unloading Procedure
The following is the standard unloading procedure:
1. Drive the vehicle to the landfill.
2. Ensure the vehicle is on safe, stable and level ground.
3. Check the overhead clearance before opening the tailgate.
4. Move the tailgate safety pins to the unlocked position (see Figure 4-10).

5. On the multiplexed switch actuator module (see Figure 3-19), press and hold the Auto-Eject
switch (see Figure 3-40).
This switch must be kept down for the unloading process to continue. Releasing it will stop the
process immediately no matter what function was active.
As soon as you press this switch, the tailgate will open. Then, once the tailgate is completely open,
forming a 90
o
angle with the body, the packer will start moving. It will perform several short
strokes before the complete and final stroke. This is done to prevent waste or refuse from piling
up on the follower panels, which would ultimately fall behind the packer. The number of short
strokes made by the packer during the unloading process is set at the factory.
6. During the ejection phase, slowly move the vehicle forward to prevent garbage from piling up
under the tailgate.
This is the only time you can move the truck with the tailgate raised. Do it very cautiously and
cover the shortest distance possible. Always be aware of the overhead clearance.
Warning!
Ensure the overhead is clear before opening the tailgate.
