1. Position paverontrailer centered from sideto side.
Seefigure 17.
2. Attachtie down chainto the hopper endof paver at
the center hook provided.
3. Referto figure 18,threetie down pointsare
shown.
Becauseof the varying characteristics of the truck
bedortrailerbedin use,itisnotpracticalto describe
the correct methodto chainthe paver down. In all
casesthe fronttie
point shouldbe used. Depending
onthe truck or trailer used,at least one of the other
tie points should also
be used.

DRIVE
SPROCKET

POSSIBLY
OTHER

NENTS

BE DAMAGED BECAUSE OF THE EX-
CESSIVE
JOLT.
