When the tank driver procedure is requested, these actions are done (or
must be done) consecutively:
• Dependent on the configuration any active cleaning procedures are
finished first, before the CRS M3 allows the milk tank to be emptied.
•
The milk from the robot unit(s) is kept in the milk jar(s) or is sent to the
buffer tank or buffer vessel.
• When the system is ready, the tank valve must be opened and a milk
sample can be taken.
• The tank can now be emptied completely.
• When the tank is empty, the tank valve must be closed.
• The tank is cleaned.
• After the cleaning is done, the milk from the buffer tank or buffer vessel is
drained to the main tank.
If the milk jar was used as a buffer and the milk has been in the milk jar
for less than 60 minutes, the milk from the milk jar is pumped to the main
tank. Otherwise the milk is pumped to the sewer. If the milk has been in
the milk jar for 15 min or more, a local rinse (robot unit) will be done after
the milk has been pumped to the main tank.
The status of the tank driver procedure is shown on the CRS M3
cabinet (page 4‑2) and on the CRS M3 web interface.
4.4.2 Partial Milk Collection Procedure
The partial milk collection procedure must not be used to completely
empty the main tank, because the milk tank will not be cleaned at the
end of the partial milk collection procedure. The main tank must be
emptied completely as soon as possible after the partial milk collection
to prevent bacteria related problems.
The partial milk collection procedure is used to partially empty the main tank.
The partial milk collection procedure can be started (page 5
‑5) with the
buttons on the CRS M3 cabinet or with the button on the main tank itself.
When the partial milk collection procedure is requested, these actions are
done (or must be done) consecutively:
• Dependent on the configuration any active cleaning procedures are
finished first, before the CRS M3 allows the milk tank to be emptied
partially.
• The milk jar is used as buffer, even when a buffer tank or buffer vessel is
available in the cluster.
• When the system is ready, the tank valve must be opened and a milk
sample can be taken.
