• The tank can be emptied partially.
• After the partial milk collection the tank valve must be closed.
•
The main tank will not be cleaned.
• The milk from the milk jar is pumped to the main tank, if the milk has
been in the milk jar for less than 60 minutes. Otherwise the milk is
pumped to the sewer. If the milk has been in the milk jar for 15 min or
more, a local rinse (robot unit) will be done after the milk has been
pumped to the main tank.
The status of the partial milk collection procedure is shown on the CRS M3
cabinet (page 4‑2).
4.4.3 Cleanings
The CRS M3 coordinates the scheduled and manually started (on robot unit)
cluster rinses and cleanings of maximum 4 clusters. A cluster rinse or
cleaning can only be done if:
• The cluster is in operation
• All milkings are finished
• No cluster rinse or cleaning is in progress on another cluster. If there is
an overlap:
• Scheduled cluster rinse or cleaning for clusters #A and #B: the rinse
or cleaning of one cluster is postponed until the rinse or cleaning of
the other cluster is finished
• Manually started cluster rinse or cleaning just before a scheduled
cluster rinse or cleaning: the scheduled cluster rinse or cleaning will
be canceled
If these conditions are not met, the cluster rinse or cleaning will be
postponed until all the conditions are met.
Cluster rinse
During a cluster rinse all milking robots in the cluster do a local rinse (teat
cups, milk tubes to milk jar, milk jar and pre-milk device) and the milk line in
the cluster is flushed with cold water (hot fill: warm water or USA
configuration: warm water with Sanitizer).
A cluster rinse is started when the set interval time on the CRS M3 has
passed or when a cluster rinse is requested on the (UI name) of a robot unit.
Cluster cleaning
During a cluster cleaning the teat cups, milk tubes to the milk jar, milk jar and
pre-milk device on all the robot units and the milk line in the cluster are
flushed. A cluster cleaning has three main phases:
1. Pre-rinse (cold water (hot fill: warm water))
2. Main cleaning (hot water with chemicals)
3. Post-rinse (cold water (hot filll: warm water or USA configuration:
warm water with Sanitizer)
A cluster cleaning must be done three times a day. The minimum interval
between two cluster cleanings is three hours.
