Dependingontheoptionsyouordered,yourcomputermayhaveanintegratedngerprintreader.By
enrollingyourngerprintandassociatingitwithawindowspassword,youcanlogontothesystemby
swipingyourngeroverthereader,withouttypingapassword.Thusngerprintauthenticationcanreplace
passwordsandenablesimpleandsecureuseraccess.
Enrollingyourngerprint
Tousetheintegratedngerprintreader,beginbyenrollingyourngerprintasfollows.
1.Turnonyourcomputer.
2.StartThinkVantageFingerprintsoftware,referto“AccessingThinkVantageapplications”onpage14.
3.Followtheinstructionsonthescreentoenrollyourngerprint.Fordetails,refertothehelpinformation
systemoftheprogram.
Swipingyourngeroverthereader
Toswipeyourngeroverthereader,dothefollowing:
1.Placetheballofyournger,thatis,thecentralpartofthengerprint,onthesmallcircleabovethe
reader.Ensurethattheentiretopjointofthengerisonthereader.
