To decelerate greater moments of inera or with a longer operaon in generator mode an
e
xternal brake resistor is required.
While the speed value is reduced by the inverter, the motor operates as generator and sup-
plies energy to the inverter. The brake resistor absorbs the produced brake energy and con-
verts it into heat.
