7 Warning and error messages
During operation, the display shows information that helps you operate the instrument.
Measurement values are displayed along with current unit modes, operating
instructions as well as warnings and error messages. The instrument is equipped with
extensive self-diagnostic functions. If the electronics detect a faulty state, the device
will show this as far as possible on the display and will interrupt operation when
necessary. Warning and error messages consist of a number, a descriptive text, and
often an associated measured value (e.g., a measured voltage).
Warnings
Warnings warn of instrument modes that can impair the accuracy of measurements.
Operation of the instrument is not interrupted.
For details about the cause and remedy, press "Warning/Error".
To close a warning message, press "Standby" after reading.
Error messages
Errors are events that force the interruption of the operation.
For details about the cause and remedy, press "Warning/Error".
Once you have found the cause for the error, resume operation by pressing the
"Standby" button.
Active errors and
warnings
This menu item is only displayed when the template contains errors or warnings:
Confirmed warnings
If an active warning is acknowledged without rectifying the cause, it is displayed under
"Confirmed warnings".
