Press “S” from the Controller Menu screen to access the System Setup screen.

Use the arrow keys to move the cursor to SYSTEM. Then press Enter. The System Setup
(SYSTEM)screen will appear as shown below.
Move the cursor down to IP Address and key in the address of the Loop-V 4200-9. Then key in the Subnet
Mask and the Trap IP. (In our sample setup the Trap IP is the IP address of the PC.) Make sure that the
4200-9 IP address and the PC’s IP address are in the same domain
Press ESC A prompt will appear asking “Change Configuration (Y/N)? Press Y. The System Setup screen
will appear. Press ESC to return to the Controller Menu.

Press V from the Controller Menu to store. The Store/Retrieve Configuration screen will appear. Use the
arrow keys to move the cursor to “STORE” and press ENTER. A prompt will ask “Store Current
Config. (Y/N)?” Press Y. You will be asked for your password. Key it in and then press ENTER. The word
“Saving….” will appear on the screen. When it disappears press ESC to return to the Controller Menu.
>> Select ? *STORE RETRIEVE
Repeat the Ping test again, only this time send the Ping signal to the Loop-V 4200-9 Ethernet Port only
To do so minimize the Loopterm screen. Go to the menu bar at the bottom of your computer screen and left-
click your mouse on the MS DOS Prompt box to bring the MS DOS Prompt screen back up into view.
