Note: Note: If the excavator works near electric wires (aboveground or underground), you should
contact the power company to discuss the best solution.
Approval for Earth Excavation
Earth excavation may damage natural gas pipelines, water pipelines, tunnels and other underground
structures. Investigate what is under the ground before you can start an earth excavation.
Be careful to high barrier
All objects around the boom may cause danger. Watchers and signalmen are necessary when the
excavator works near a bridge, telephone lines, scaffold and other objects.
Be careful when operating the excavator on the soft ground
When the excavator is working or running on a loose, rough and cracked ground, it may be subject to a
lateral force which may cause turnover.
When the excavator is working or running on frozen ground, if the temperature is getting warmer, the
operator should pay attention to the damp and black zone. The operator should keep the excavator away from
channels, convexity and loose surface.
On a loose or rough ground, you should install chocks before you can start work.
Use of Solid Chocks
Lifting jacks and other insufficient support are not reliable. Place chocks under caterpillar chains to
prevent undesirable movement.
Danger When Working under Cliffy Terrain
It is very dangerous to work under a cliffy terrain.
Be aware of the height of the excavator and the extension of the boom and shovel and thoughtful
working plan. When working at site, do not move around rashly to avoid danger. If a cliff is produced, remove
the excavator to a safe position. When working on a deep pit, beside high walls or in a moat, supporting
structure should be provided, especially after a storm or i
early spring when frozen land is to thaw. When work stop
park the excavator far away from the cliffy terrain.
Precaution When Working on Slope
Flatten the working floor if possible. If the excavato
has to work on a slope, limit the rotating range an
decrease the speed. If leveling is not possible or must
