3.5 Making Instrument Settings
The basic setting

must be changed before a meas urement is per-
formed.
All further settings can be changed before or af-
ter the meas urement.
The instrument settings cannot be
modified if they are blocked (i. e. if
the "Blocking" check box is activat-
ed in the "Basic settings" menu; see
Section 3.5.2).
To retain modified instrument settings
after the MarSurf M 300 is switched off,
an error-free meas urement must be car-
ried out with these settings.
3.5.1 Operating Elements in the Menus
The operating elements used in the menus are
shown below:
Button
e. g.
A function can be activated with a button or the
respective assigned key (e. g. the "Basic settings"
menu with key 4).
Use the
button or the MENU key to leave
the menu.
3.4 Loading Paper
To load a paper roll:
1. Pull the printer cover (2) back in the direc-
tion of the arrow (see Fig. 1). Then turn the
device around so that the rear side is facing
forward (see Fig. 6).
2. If necessary, remove the empty roll from the
paper compartment.
3. Flip the pressure strip (31) up.
4. Insert the new paper roll (32) (5450105)
into the paper compartment with the be-
ginning of the roll down (see symbol in the
paper compartment).
5. Feed the beginning of the roll evenly into
the paper infeed below the rubber roller.
6. Insert the paper until the end projects ap-
prox. 2 cm beyond the rubber roller.
7. Flip the pressure strip (31) down again.
8. Replace the printer cover (2) and push it
back until it locks into place.
The paper must stick out over the printer
cover.
