Main Differential and Ring Gear
1. If removed, use a press and appropriate size sleeve to install
the bearing cones on the case halves. Figure 5.11 and
Figure 5.12.

2. Apply axle lubricant on the inside surfaces of both case halves,
spider pins, thrust washers, side gears and differential pinions.
3. Install the thrust washer and side gear in the plain half case.

4. Locate the flat sides on the plain half case. Notice these sides
do not have holes for roll pins above them. This is the correct
position for installing the long spider pin. Figure 5.14.

5. Install the pinion and thrust washer into the plain half case
where the long spider pin will pass through. Figure 5.15.
