Too Cold (°C)
This is an alarm temperature setpoint for each temperature zone. If
the current temperature of the zone falls below its Too Cold setpoint,
it will cause the analyzer to default to an alarm state.
Too Hot (°C)
This is an alarm temperature setpoint for each temperature zone. If
the current temperature of the zone exceeds its Too Hot setpoint, it
will cause the analyzer to default to an alarm state.
Optical Bench Temperature Control
The Optical Bench temperature is controlled (by an RTD and heater) to
maintain a stable condition for the analysis of the target species and to en-
sure that no condensation forms to obscure the light path.
The Optical Bench temperature control is protected by an independent
over-temperature circuit with a trip temperature of 65 °C. The default
Optical Bench temperature Setpoint is typically 40 °C but can be modified
in the software. The Setpoint should be approximately 8 °C to 10 °C above
the maximum ambient temperature around the analyzer, to a maximum
of 60 °C.
The Bench Too Hot setpoint should be 5 °C to 10 °C above the Bench
Setpoint temperature (not to exceed 65 °C). The Bench Too Cold setpoint
should be 5 °C to 10 °C below the Bench Setpoint temperature. If the Opti-
cal Bench temperature falls below its Too Cold setpoint or exceeds its Too
Hot setpoint, the “Warning Bench Temperature” alarm will be triggered
and displayed in the software.
The Optical Bench can be configured to measure in two different ranges
(see chart below). The range is selectable via a change in the software
and a jumper on the Micro-Interface board. When the range is changed
through the software, a jumper on the Micro-Interface board must be
changed (see chart below). Confirm the setting for your analyzer on the
Programming Parameters” sheet (check Optical Bench Temp Range) that
is part of the analyzer Documentation Package.
