3. Confirm or configure communication settings by clicking Setup to
view the Serial Port Configuration dialog box. Enter or select the ap-
propriate communication parameters (see “PC Communication Setup”
in this chapter).
After configuring analyzer communication parameters, click OK to
initiate communication with the analyzer. The software will revert to
the M933 Properties dialog box and the analyzer will be Online, as
indicated in the Status message box.
The M933 Properties dialog box is your primary interface with the
analyzer when viewing live data, or when modifying or viewing the
analyzer’s configuration or calibration parameters.
If at any time you close the M933 Properties dialog box (by clicking
OK or Cancel), the software will revert to the M933 Configurator
Software screen. To return to the M933 Properties dialog box, select
Edit\Device Properties.
Closing the Congurator Software
After you are finished communicating with the analyzer, close the Con-
figurator Software and disconnect the computer from the analyzer:
1. From the M933 Properties dialog box, click OK or Cancel at the bot-
tom of the screen.
2. From the M933 Configurator window, select File\Exit.
3. Power down the computer and disconnect the serial cable from the
analyzer’s Communications Port.
4. Close the Communications Port cover and hand-tighten the screw to
secure it in place.

