Performing a sequencing run
z
Ensure that all compartment doors are closed. Sequencing run cannot be
started when the reagent compartment door is open.
z
Do not open any compartment door on the device during sequencing, to
prevent damage to the device and adverse effects on sequencing results.
z
Do not open the reagent compartment door during sequencing, to avoid
adverse effects on sequencing results. If the door is open, the prompt icon
and status indicator will turn red and flash to alert you that the reagent
compartment door is open.
z
Do not touch the flow cell stage during sequencing. Because the
temperature of the flow cell stage can rise to 50 ℃ (122 ) or even higher,
and a burn injury might be caused.
z
Do not bump, move, vibrate or impact the device during sequencing.
Otherwise, sequencing results might be inaccurate.
z
Do not place other devices such as a centrifuge or vortex on the same
bench where the sequencer is placed, because other devices might cause
vibrations to the sequencer. Significant vibration during sequencing might
reduce the quality of sequencing results.
z
Pay special attention to the icons, status indicator, and prompts. If errors
occur, a message appears on the screen. Follow the prompt to troubleshoot
and solve the problem. For information about the troubleshooting, refer to
Troubleshooting on Page 59
.
Sequencing interface
The following table describes the function of each item in the
interface:
Item Description
Time
remaining
Shows the remaining time for sequencing.
Phase Shows the current phase of sequencing.
Step Shows the current step and total sequencing steps.
Cycle
Shows the current read length and total read length of
sequencing.
QC type
You can select a QC value graph from the QC type list to
assess the sequencing quality.
Lane
Shows the flow cell lane that is being imaged, and the total
flow cell lanes.
