3.4 Ice Forms on Interior of Refrigerator, Freezer and/or Condenser
Cause:
Defrost heater defective.
Remedy:
Test defrost heater in service mode. Perform heater test outlined in Section 030-4.4.
Cause:
Drain heater defective.
Remedy:
Test drain heater in service mode. Perform heater test outlined in Section 030-4.4.
Cause:
Drain channel clogged or frozen.
Remedy:
Remove debris; test other components to determine why freezing occurred.
Cause:
Door not sealing properly.
Remedy:
1. Door seal damaged; replace seal.
2. Custom door panel improperly installed; re-install door panel correctly.
3. Hinges damaged; replace hinges.
Cause:
Decompression valve in the door is open.
Remedy:
Check for proper seating and/or icing of the decompression valve; reseat or
replace as needed.
Cause:
Door left open for an extended period of time.
Remedy:
Check for fault codes; close door.
