2 Control Electronic on Some Cooling Appliances May
Randomly Stop Responding
The cause of this behavior is the reed relay board found on any fridge or
freezer units that use the magnetic door cam on top of the door.
To remedy this situation, replace the reed relay board, part number
07159390. When replacing this board, observe the following:
Turn off the unit. 110V is present on this component when the unit is
on!
Remove the cover using your Miele tool (1).
Carefully slide out the relay board – you may need to use needle-nose pliers
(2).
Insert the replacement part – be sure it is fully seated.
3 Refrigerator Door Reminder
This reminder applies to all Miele Independence refrigeration products.
Under no circumstances are we to attempt to change the hinge orientation of
any unit. All refrigeration units are available in left or right hinged models
(except the 18” freezers – these are all left-hinged).
The answer is always no.
