4.5 Temperature Test
Refrigerator:
Have the customer place a glass of water in the appliance about 2 to 3 hours
before the technician arrives. The glass should be located in the center of the
cavity. Make sure that there is nothing around the glass of water so that the
airflow can bring the water to temperature properly. Stir the water, then place
a temperature probe into the glass of water and close the door of the
refrigerator.
Freezer:
Place a temperature probe in between frozen items inside the freezer and
close the door. Wait a few minutes for the temperature reading on the meter
to stabilize.
4.6 Removing the Refrigerator Evaporator Cover
1. Disconnect the appliance from the power supply.
2. Remove the lamp covers in order to avoid scratching the refrigerator
interior. Press in the outer lamp covers on the left and right sides and
twist counterclockwise to remove. See Figure 030-17, Items 1 and 2.

3. Remove the glass plate from the insulation plate.
4. Take off the panel. See Figure 030-18, Item 1.
